The Eternal Children of Emerson: 117 Years of Education

The Eternal Children of Emerson: 117 Years of Education

On March 19th, 1896 Westerville Schools opened the doors of the Vine Street School. In the last 116 years thousands of students have filled the halls of this great building.

Now known as Emerson World Cultures Magnet School, countless former students pay a visit every year to their beloved school. One of the most memorable features of this great building are the two stone carved faces on the front of the building. A boy and a girl carved in stone...they are The Eternal Children of Emerson.

We have been fortunate to have had a local artist make casts of the relief sculptures...and you can purchase these limited edition sculptures on this site!

Proceeds will be dedicated to the new Westerville Elementary Boosters organization. WEB is a booster organization committed to supporting elementary academics throughout the Westerville School District.

There is a special place in the hearts of many for the Vine Street School...now you can have a part of her history for your very own :)
